Wow, 2024 already! We’re back with our first blog of the year, and it, of course, had to be about interior trends for 2024. There are some exciting changes coming to the interior world, from colour palettes to furniture, and we can’t wait to explore and incorporate the new trends into our design schemes this year. 2024 is about finally saying goodbye to grey and welcoming warm earthy colours to give your home that warm and cosy feel that we all desire. We’ve shared with you six interior trends we think will be big in 2024.

Every year there’s a new round of trends and ideas to bombard us with. At The Living House we love to see what’s next around the corner, but we’re not saying you need to change your home every year as that would be ridiculous (who has the energy for that?!). Sometimes though it’s fun to see where the trends are taking us and incorporate a few new updates here and there into your home.

As a child of the ‘70s, I can remember the 1980s quite clearly and it made quite an impression on me. Even as a little girl I remember thinking there was nothing more sophisticated than the combination of grey ash furniture and pastel pink walls (I was always obviously always destined to be an interior designer!). When my parents bought a new build in 1981 we all oohed and aahed over the beautiful avocado colour bathroom suite - complete with brown carpet, of course!

It’s that time of the year when everyone starts to turn their focus to all things outdoors and think about the garden!
