Step into Spring with our favourite new home finds

Written by Catherine Seagrave

Spring was here for a week. We all got excited, brushed off the patio furniture, cut the lawn - and then just as quickly it was gone again! However the brighter sunlight was here long enough to show up the many cobwebs around my ceiling. Those spiders have been busy over winter.

Well we may be back in jumpers and shivering under heated throws for now (I can thoroughly recommend a heated throw!), but it does feel like something has stirred. That feeling of Spring being just around the corner does bring about a change in me. It makes me want to clean the windows (rare!!) and start projects I’ve been putting off. I’m in the process of creating a new desk area in my kitchen which will be lovely in the summer months near the bifold doors.  And I’m updating my twin boys bedroom, which I’ve been putting off for ages, mainly because clearing through the mountains of their stuff is a job in its own right - and should come with a health warning!!

So in the spirit of Spring and change, we have rounded up our 10 favourite new shopping finds that we think you’ll love. We are seeing some lovely soft khaki greens right now on furniture and accessories, which are really beautiful mixed with pastel pinks. These colours work really well against dark blue - maybe you have a dark blue sofa or wall? To freshen it up and keep it lively try adding a little pop of yellow with a throw or a decorative pot. As Spring is all about nature, mix it up with a jute rug which never goes out of fashion. And of course, don’t forget about the plants!
